  • Which product is best for me?

Which ring guard will work best for you depends on how much size reduction you need as well as what you personally find comfortable.

RingSlinky

  •  How do I measure my ring for RingSlinkys?

    • What if my ring band measurement is between two sizes or I'm still not sure which size to order?
We offer two Ringslinky mixed pack options. One contains 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm RingSlinkys. The other contains 4.0mm, 5.0mm, and 6.0mm RingSlinkys. Ordering a mixed pack will allow you to try different sizes to see which provides the best fit for your ring.
      • How much size reduction do RingSlinkys provide?

How much size reduction a RingSlinky provides depends on which size RingSlinky you use and how snuggle it fits your ring. A 1.5mm or 2.0mm RingSlinky will give you about 1-1/2 sizes in reduction, where as that number is closer to 3-1/2 sizes with a 5.0mm or 6.0mm RingSlinky.

        • What if the RingSlinky makes my ring too tight?

Shortening the length of the RingSlinky will decrease the amount of size reduction it provides. RingSlinkys can be trimmed using a pair of sharp scissors or a knife on a safe cutting surface.

          • How do I put the RingSlinky on my ring?

To install your RingSlinky, slip one end over the ring and twist it on. If the RingSlinky is tight on the ring, it can be a little tricky to get it started. But once you have the first few coils wrapped around the ring, you should be able to easily twist the RingSlinky on by rolling it between your thumb and index fingers.

            • Should the RingSlinky easily slide around on the ring?

No, the RingSlinky should fit snugly around the ring.

              • Why is my ring still turning on my finger?

If the RingSlinky is too big for your ring, it will not prevent the ring from rotating. If you encounter this problem, we recommend trying a smaller size RingSlinky.

                • How do I prevent soap and lotion from building up in or under the RingSlinky?

Even without a ring guard, buildup can occur in and around settings and gemstones. The best practice is always to remove your rings before washing your hands or applying lotion, and this is especially true when using any kind of ring guard. If needed, you can remove the RingSlinky and wash it with dish soap. Allow it to dry before reapplying it to your ring.

                  • Will the RingSlinky wear out?

The Ring Slinky will stretch slightly over time and may eventually become too loose to stay snugly in place on the ring. For this reason, we offer packages of individual sizes in quantities of 3, 6, 9, and 12; so you can have extra on hand should you want to swap it out.

                                  • Why is the RING NOODLE falling off of my ring?

The only way a RING NOODLE can fall off of your ring is if the ring is significantly too large for your finger AND the RING NOODLE is too big for the ring. If this happens, please measure your ring to make sure you have ordered the correct size.

So, it is very important to keep the resin in the foil bag it is packaged in to prevent it from curing in the bottle.
